ADVC Offers Additional Certification Course

The Academy of Dairy Veterinary Consultants meeting will be held at the Comfort Inn in Half Moon Bay, Calif., and will focus on welfare assessment certification for veterinarians and assessing animal environments. Speakers will include Validus' Keri Retallick, Dr. Cassandra Tucker and Dr. Dale Moore.

The purpose of this program is to provide the dairy veterinary consultant the knowledge and tools to assess welfare on the dairy. Dairy cow welfare and background information on pre‐weaned dairy calf welfare and health, and their association with calf housing and environment will also be provided.

Due to demand, a second certification course, limited to 25 people, will also be held concurrently with the first certification course.
