The Beef Cattle Institute at Kansas State University will host the 2010 International Symposium on Beef Cattle Welfare
Highlights will include:
• Emergency response and truck rollover short course. Featuring topics such as cattle handling, trailer design, cattle extrication, field euthanasia, developing a response team and development of a emergency response trailer.
• Introduction to the North Amercia Food Animal Well-being Commission for Beef.
• The leading experts on beef cattle welfare will discuss today's issues and tomorrow's solutions.
The Symposium can also be seen live via a webcast (www.isbcw.beefcattleinstitute.org). Nearly 700 participants are estimated to participate in this program on site or live via the webcast.
