The University of Wisconsin Calf Respiratory Disease Scoring Chart includes scoring factors such as age, nasal discharge, eye or ear, cough (spontaneous or induced) and temperature. These factors are scored on a 1-3 scale and then added. If the total score is 4, it’s advised the calf is watched. If it is 5 or more, the calf should be treated.

The scoring chart on the University of Wisconsin website includes the chart, scoring parameters and color photos to assist you in proper scoring. You can see the chart here.
