The 2010 82nd Annual Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas continues to expand both in numbers of attendees and CE offerings for veterinarians. More than 6,000 veterinarians and 1,200 veterinary technicians, in addition to practice managers, veterinary staff, exhibitors, speakers and other guests, brought the total to more than 13,300 people the week of Feb. 14.

The outstanding food animal programs included sessions for feedlot, cow-calf, dairy and small ruminant practitioners, and there was a strong showing of food animal practitioners at this year’s conference.

In addition to the latest offerings in companion, equine, food animal and exotics programming through lectures and hands on laboratories, WVC unveiled its new look and logo this week. The 2011 meeting next February will showcase a new exhibit area with 65 percent more square footage to give even more veterinary-related industries the chance to get in front of this large group of veterinary professionals.
