Dairy classes available through University of Illinois

The University of Illinois will be offering three dairy classes in the fall semester:

1. A new dairy class will be offered for one credit titled “Ration balancing and building” using the Spartan III dairy model. The five-week class begins in September and is open for enrollment at: http://online.ansci.illinois.edu/

2. The University of Illinois is also offering a one-day hands-on training class at a dairy farm near Fort Atkinson, Wis., on Oct 3, during World Dairy Expo week. The timing allows people to attend the largest dairy show and exhibition in North America. Class size is limited to 20 enrollees. More details can be found at: http://go.Illinois.edu/dairylab

3. Richard Wallace, dairy extension specialist for the College of Veterinary Medicine, will be offering his advanced dairy reproduction class for two credits starting in September. Enrollment is open and is a 10-week class ending in November. Enrollment at: http:// online.ansci.illinois.edu/
