Need emergency forage?

Recent research shows that oats seeded in late summer can provide an excellent source of emergency forage before winter. This is the subject of two new “Focus on Forage” fact sheets from the University of Wisconsin-Extension Team Forage.

The fact sheets discuss the unique quality characteristics, cultivars, planting dates and expected yields of fall-grown oat forages.
