Say ‘no’ to shared equipment

According to the “Dairy Heifer Raiser, 2011” study, released last fall by the USDA’s National Animal Health Monitoring System, about four out of 10 operations (43.0 percent) said they never used the same equipment to handle manure and feed dairy heifers.

Do your practices align with this policy, or is there room for improvement on your operation?
