You’re the expert, not HSUS

More than one-third of consumers use the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) as their main source of information on animal-welfare issues, according to a consumer poll by Purdue University researchers. The results (shown below) are a good reminder to get your game on and engage the public on what you do on your farm.

* Of the 215 people that selected “other,” 140 indicated that they either do not have a source for animal welfare information or that they did not seek this information out.
