Calf raisers need a business plan, too

Just like a dairy, a calf-raising or heifer-raising operation is a business. And like any good business, it needs to have a written business plan.

“You need to know where you want to be in one, three and five years, and have a plan on how to get there,” says Jim Quigley, vice president of research and product development with APC, Inc. A business plan can help you do that.
