If you’ve been looking for a calf care/calf health resource guide for your employees, then check out this compilation of “Calving Ease” newsletters.
The newsletter was started in 1993 as part of the western New York heifer raisers’ group. Each issue takes an in-depth look at a single topic, including step-by-step instructions where needed. The newsletters are packaged in a three-ring binder, complete with a table of contents.
You can order a copy from one of the newsletter’s authors, calf-care consultant Sam Leadley. Send requests to: Sam Leadley, Attica Veterinary Associates, P.C., 116 Prospect Street, Attica, N.Y., 14011. The cost is $40, which includes shipping in the continental United States.
For more information or to order, call (585) 591-2660, or send an e-mail to sleadley@frontiernet.net
