Cart simplifies calf transport

 Resize text

This cart helps transport calves easily and safely from hutches to the heifer barn on this Wellington, Ohio, operation. They made the cart by attaching four wheels to a tote frame, says Mara Gordon. A calf enters the cart when it is tipped up. The person pushing the cart tips it back down and begins walking. The calf participates in the transport process by walking independently inside the cart. “When you reach your destination, just tip it up and out the calf goes,” Gordon says.
