Cleaning water troughs

Algae can grow quickly in water troughs, especially during the summer months. So, it's a good idea to clean them out regularly. Frank Delfino, of Delfino Nutrition, suggests sucking the water out of the trough with an old, but clean, slurrystore truck. This will keep the area around the water troughs from getting too muddy. Then, use the water to keep the dust down or water trees and other plants on the dairy.
