USDA has launched a new campaign: “Farming for Profit, Stewardship and Community.” It carries an educational thrust, offering small?scale farmers and ranchers information about ways to increase farm profits, cut cost, broaden marketing alternatives, protect natural resources and sustain their rural communities.
You can learn more about the concepts through 10 tip sheets available on the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Web site. The tip sheets offer basic information and list resources where you can get more in-depth coverage of topics like improving soil quality, managing weeds and adding value through marketing.
