Management key to mastitis prevention

Although various factors contribute to mastitis, management breakdowns are responsible for the majority of mastitis problems, says Nelson Philpot, president of Philpot and Associates International in Homer, La. "We must not underestimate the importance of management," he says. "The key to mastitis control is prevention, which involves management."
