Need help dealing with manure? The Natural Resource, Agricultural and Engineering Service (NRAES) has several manure-management publications available.

• Liquid Manure Application Systems Design Manual, NRAES-89, outlines the planning and implementation needs for an economically efficient, environmentally safe liquid manure application system. Cost is $25.
• Earthen Manure Storage Design Considerations, NRAES-109, covers the design, construction and management of earthen storage facilities. Cost is $18.
• Guideline for Dairy Manure Management from Barn to Storage, NRAES-108, reviews the information needed for planning manure management systems. Cost is $8.
