The USDA-Agricultural Research Service's Livestock Issues Research Unit in Lubbock, Texas, has created the “Encyclopedia of Farm Animal Behavior.”

It’s designed to help you interpret animal behavior and the underlying causes for certain types of behavior.

This handy resource is available online, and currently covers cattle and hog behavior. To access the tool, go to the Web site at: http://www.liru.asft.ttu.edu/EFAB/default.asp
