When employees first started milking cows in this double-33 parallel parlor, cows routinely slipped on the concrete deck. The owners tried roughing up the concrete, but that didn’t help much.

The solution was to install a 0.5-inch-thick linear rubber mat. The rubber came in a continuous roll — without any of the joints that can trap manure and debris. The mat cleans up easily, and the cows don’t slip anymore.
