If you haven’t yet thrown out the seed bags from this spring’s planting, take the label off of each hybrid you planted, suggests John Ishmael, agronomist with Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc.

Place them in a large envelope and keep them with your field records. Also, include planting conditions, date of planting, and any other pertinent information. The tag will provide the lot number of seed used and may provide insight later in the year.
