The School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California-Davis, has launched a nationwide research study to help protect the livestock industry from the consequences of foot-and-mouth disease.  Livestock producers are asked to participate in an online survey on animal movements and husbandry practices, so those can be used to generate data for a simulation model. Researchers guarantee that all information will be kept confidential and will only be used for modeling purposes.
