Use caution when moving round bales

Moving large, round bales can be hazardous duty. Use the following rules to stay safe when moving round bales with a tractor and loader:

• Do not overfill the loader.
• Transport the load as low as possible to avoid overturning.
• Move and turn the tractor at low speeds.
• Set wheels to the widest setting possible to increase tractor stability.
• Never transport or lift anyone on the loader or its attachments.
• Raise and lower loads gradually.
• Operate the loader from the operator’s seat only.
• Never let anyone walk under a loaded front-end loader.
• Always level the loader bucket as the load is lifted to help prevent the load from rolling onto the operator.
