Before your build a special-needs facility, think about the placement of the waterers. That’s what Corey, Jake and Justin Ulrich did before they built the special-needs facility at Ulrich Farms North in Dresser, Wis.

For example, the facility contains a pen which can hold 50 steam-up cows. Occasionally, they divide these cows into two groups. Thanks to careful planning, each group has its own waterer if they choose to split the pen in half.

“Put more thought into your waterers and waterer placement in case you want to divide those pens down the road,” advises Corey Ulrich.
