Wisconsin Governor Scott McCallum recently designated four separate regions of the state as part of a new Agricultural Development Zone.
The zone was designed to assist regional economies tied to the state’s ag and food processing industries. The program offers $5 million in tax credits for use by new or expanding agribusinesses within the regional boundaries. The zone will be in effect for 10 years, and interested agribusinesses can claim income tax credits for things like the creation of jobs, capital investment and environmental remediation activities.
