Watch out for mycoplasma in young calves

Calves less than two months of age appear to be most susceptible to mycoplasma infection, according to a recent study of Mycoplasma bovis in California calves.

The results show that 77 percent of the calves that were positive for M. bovis, an organism responsible for ailments like ear infections in calves, were less than two months old. The chart below summarizes the results:
