Researchers in Australia have developed new ways to speed up genetic progress.

Australian researchers recently announced that they have discovered how to multiply and isolate stem cells from bovine embryos — and to do so more quickly than was previously possible. This discovery will help speed up the process of genetic improvement, since stem cells may be used to improve udder health, milk yield and even vaccinate animals against diseases.
