Recent developments from New Zealand may change your harvest timing for certain crops.

A new moisture analyzer automatically determines the dry matter content of standing crops. That means you don’t have to figure the weight difference of a “before” and “after” drying sample, or rely on visual estimates of crop moisture content. Company officials indicate that the device accurately measures the dry matter content of a range of standing crops, including oats, barley, triticale and wheat.
