Some people train for years or decades to set a Guinness World Record. As the best-selling copyrighted book of all time, it is the authority on records like world’s “fastest man,” “shortest living man,” and “fastest time to type a text message on a mobile phone while performing headspins.”

In case you didn’t know, the book began when Sir Hugh Beaver, Chairman of the Guinness Brewery (no word if beer was involved), was hunting and wanted to decide if a bird he missed was the fastest. Almost 75 years later, the book is still settling bets and ending debates the world over.

Last week, the book replaced one important feat - the most people dressed as cows.

That’s right, 1,352 people stole the title of most people dressed as cows from Fairfax, Virginia, blowing the old record of 470 out of the bulk tank.

The location is the Cowaramup’s Deja-Moo County Fair, in Cowaramup, Australia.

Obviously, with the Aussie’s more than doubling the old record, it’s time for the rest of us to give up (unless you have about 1,500 friends with spotted onesies laying around). With a name like Cowaramup, the record will be hard to beat.

The southwest Australian town is heavy in the dairy industry, nicknamed “Cow Town” for more than one reason. The fair also included gum boot tossing and a cow pat lotto.
