Celebrating dairy farmers on National Agriculture Day

Every single day, nearly 50,000 dairy farm families wake up before dawn, milk their cows, take care of their farms, and do a host of other chores throughout the day – even as the sun dips below the horizon. America’s dairy farmers, which are a part of the 2 percent of the country’s population tied to farming, perform a feat every day that supplies the milk to provide the rest of us with delicious and nutritious milk, cheese, yogurt and our other dairy foods.

So today, National Agriculture Day, we take a moment to thank America’s dairy farmers – and all farmers across the country –for everything they do each and every day.

We know you share this appreciation. And, while you may have never had a chance to visit a dairy farm, we’d like to (virtually) bring the farm to you on this special day.
