Additional research being conducted by MSU and shared resources are being developed through the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program. Curell specifically recommends the SARE resource Managing Cover Crops Profitably, third edition. The guide helps growers chose the right cover crops for their area and for the goals that they are trying to achieve. It also covers potential advantages and disadvantages of each crop and how growers should expect to manage the crop for optimal success.
As a result of the field day, Curell will also be bringing one of the MSU cover crop field days up to Warner’s farm later this year. To learn more about cover crops and research being conducted by MSU Extension, please contact Christina Curell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
