In addition to dairy producer informational meetings to explain the new Dairy Margin Protection Program (DMPP), the National Program on Dairy Markets and Policy (DMaP) will host five “Train-the-Trainer” workshops across the United States, beginning Sept. 9.

Dates and locations are:

• Sept. 9, Syracuse, N.Y.

• Sept. 10, Atlanta, Ga.

• Sept. 11, Chicago, Ill.

• Sept. 12, Denver, Colo.

• Sept. 13, Fresno, Calif.

These meetings are oriented toward those who will work with dairy operators to help them understand the program. At these meetings, attendees will learn about the program and the implementation rules, use the online decision tool to consider individual program strategies, and be introduced to a suite of educational material enabling them to hold educational meetings of their own. All sessions run 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Download a more detailed agenda here.

There will be a $50 charge to cover lunch and refreshments at each location. Registration is required eight days prior to the meeting you plan attend. To register, visit http://dairymarkets.org/MPP/Meetings/TtT.html
