Get your spoons ready —there’s a new dairy dish available at U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox, thanks to a partnership with Prairie Farms Dairy.
Prairie Farms Dairy has agreed to supply ice cream for a new 3 pound, 12-scoop banana split served in a full-sized White Sox batting helmet.
“Prairie Farms and the White Sox are two powerhouse brands and we’re excited about our partnership to provide ice cream for the 12-Scoop Banana Split Sundae,” said Ed Mullins, Prairie Farms Executive Vice President and CEO in a news release. “White Sox fans have enjoyed our soft-serve ice cream for over eight years, so providing ice cream for the sundae scoops was a natural extension.”
Ice cream lovers can enjoy the sundae, which will include Prairie Farms vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream drizzled with caramel, strawberry sauce and chocolate syrup. It also includes two bananas, whipped cream and cherries.
The gigantic dessert will be sold for $17. A White Sox exec told ESPN it is meant to "feed a lot of people." though it won't be long before a few brave Sox fans try to conquer the helmet solo.
Prairie Farms Dairy also made waves in March with the launch of their seasonal milk flavors, Chocolate Marshmallow, Easter Egg Nog and Jelly Bean. Click here to read more.
