A future dairy farmer is making waves as the next pro-agriculture parody making waves in the mainstream media. Unlike the Peterson brothers of “I’m Farming and I Grow It” fame, this music video is thanks to a pint-sized 9-year old nicknamed Lil Fred.”
The video, recorded by Fred’s 18-year old brother Justin, takes on Carly Rae Jepson’s “Call Me Maybe” song.
His version – “Farm It Maybe” – was filmed at the family’s dairy farms. As of Thursday afternoon, the video had already been viewed more than 50,000 times.
A few verses from the song include
“I’m a Farm Boy, And here's my Holstein.”
“It's just a heifer; It has no baby.”
“Hey, drink this milk; It'll keep ya healthy.”
“Cause owning a cow can be pricey, just don't be mean- Treat em' nicely.”
