Farm pays tribute to Derek Jeter with corn maze

(credit: VonThun Farms) VonThun’s Country Farm Market & Greenhouses in Monmouth Junction, N.J., has created a corn maze in the likeness of baseball player Derek Jeter. From Sept. 20 to Oct. 31, visitors will be able to try to make their way through the five-acre maze of Jeter’s face and baseball cap with the message “Thanks Captain Clutch.”

Although the image that went viral last week on Facebook is digitally altered, VonThun’s said the maze does exist. The corn, however, is still growing, so the maze doesn’t look like the image yet.

Jeter is a five-time World Series champion. He plans to retire after this season.
