Hollywood may be the contradiction of what it means to be real. But just prior to Sunday’s Academy Awards, Chobani kicked off a new advertising campaign to promote its “real” products.

Chobani, a leader in the Greek yogurt category, reinterated its commitment to being real – real people providing real food using real, simple ingredients.

It may just be what today’s consumers want to hear as interest in natural, simple food grows.

"Chobani started with the simple goal to make nutritious and delicious yogurt accessible to everyone," Hamdi Ulukaya, founder, president and CEO of Chobani, said in a news release. "As a manufacturer, it's our responsibility to make our products the right way, not just the easy way.  And we strongly believe that everyone should be able to experience the enjoyment that comes from eating simple, delicious, nourishing foods."

Chobani was featured in a 60-second “Go Real Chobani-Real is” spot during the award pre-show. Another 30-second advertisement aired during E!’s pre- and post-show coverage. Click on the video above to watch “Go Real Chobani - Real is.”

According to The New York Times, the Academy Awards was considered the “Super Bowl for woman” for years, and today the show still draws the most female viewers of any other entertainment show. Chobani was joined by other big-name advertisers, including American Express, Ameriprise, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Coca-Cola, JC Penny, McDonald’s, Royal Caribbean International, Samsung Mobile, and Sprint.  Read more.

Though official ad rankings have yet to be released, fans left glowing reviews of the commercials on the Chobani Facebook page, with comments including “you had me at first bite” and “great commercial capturing a diverse group of people!”
