In 1997, a now iconic advertisement featured a freckled-face Girl Scout carrying boxes of cookies while asking the popular and provoking question, “Got Milk?” Now, 15 years later, the California Milk Processor Board (CMPB) has again teamed up with California Girl Scouts to give three scouts the opportunity to win a $500 U.S. Savings Bond and star in a milk-promotion billboard in their hometowns.
The contest is being promoted by more than just the CMPB and the Girl Scouts. Megan Weber, the scout featured in the original advertisement, will be touring the state to encourage the 200,000 scouts in the Golden State to participate.
To enter, Girl Scouts in kindergarten through Grade 12 belonging to one of the eight councils in California may submit a photo and eight-word caption showing how Girl Scouts and milk have helped them become strong, healthy and confident. All entries must be received by Dec. 17.
