Gavel Two men were found guilty on Tuesday in the murder of a California dairy worker and the attempted murder of another.

According to the Madera County District Attorney, separate juries convicted Jesus Reynoso Flores, 25, and Jose Antonio Flores-Ventura, 27, in the 2008 double shooting at Coelho Farms in Chowchilla, Calif.

Evidence, which included footage from cameras in the milking parlor, showed the men attempting to rob two of the dairy’s milkers. Both workers were shot during the incident, one fatally.

“The acts of Flores and Ventura were extremely callous. The verdicts rendered by the juries bring justice to the victims, their families and the public for this heinous murder and attempted murder,” Madera County District Attorney Michael R. Keitz said in a news release.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 21. Both men face life in prison without the possibility of parole.  Read more here.
