Hispanic calf care and dairy obstetrics

Hispanic dairy employees can enhance their knowledge base and skills about dairy obstetrics and calf care during two upcoming half-day training workshops. The workshops, designed by dairy producers for dairy producers on behalf of the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin, will be delivered totally in Spanish by expert trainers Dr. Oscar Duarte and Dr. Humberto Rivera.

The obstetrics workshop will be 3 ½-hours and will take place the mornings of Tuesday, Aug. 30, Luxemburg, Wis., and on Wednesday, Aug. 31, Dorchester

Calf care workshops will be offered the afternoons of Aug. 30, Luxemburg, and again Aug. 31, Dorchester.

Registration for each half-day workshop for PDPW members is $75 for the first person and $50 per each additional person from the same dairy. Registration for each half-day workshop for non-PDPW members is $100 for the first person and $75 for each additional person from the same dairy.

PDPW members with individuals attending both workshops on the same day may register them for $125/first person and $100/each additional person from the same dairy. Registration for non-PDPW members with Hispanic employees attending both workshops on the same day is $150 for the first person and $125 for each additional employee.
