Three cows were shot to death Wednesday evening on a dairy farm near LaPorte, Ind., and police have arrested two teenagers in connection with the incident.

According to the South Bend Tribune, dairy farmer Glen Minich heard gunshots at his farm and found three of his cows dead -- at least two of them with gunshot wounds to the head. Minich spotted the suspects in a vehicle near his property and reported the license place to police, which ultimately led to the teenage suspects.

Two boys, aged 17 and 14, have reportedly admitted their roles in the shootings and been charged as juveniles with three counts of animal cruelty and three counts of criminal recklessness.
