Crews digging at an Iowa dairy earlier this week accidently broke an underground manure pipe, sending more than 100,000 gallons into a tributary of Coon Creek, which empties into the Iowa River.

Cedar Valley Farms, located south of Blairstown, Iowa, took action to stop the spill as soon as it discovered the incident early yesterday morning.

According to easterniowanewsnow.com, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is working with the dairy to clean up the manure, and that enforcement action is expected.
