This week, Sept. 16-22, marks National Farm Safety and Health Week.

The theme this year is "Agricultural Safety and Health–A Family Affair."

According to the National Education Center for Agriculture Safety, agriculture continues to rank as one of the most dangerous occupations in North America—in 2010, there were 596 deaths and 70,000 disabling injuries credited to agriculture.

Many state Farm Bureaus this week are recognizing and honoring family farmers across the nation who are impacted the most as they move farm machinery on rural roads.
