Police have accused a South Dakota man of stealing more than $10,000 worth of hay from an Iowa dairy during a one-week period.

According to the Sioux City Journal, Jamie Shape was arrested after workers at the Meadowvale Dairy found inconsistencies in the amount of hay being delivered in trucks operated by Shape.  

Shape has been charged with first-degree theft – a class C Felony.

KTIV.com reports that officials suspects Shape has stolen hay for several months and are continuing to investigate the crime with assistance from the FBI, the Iowa State Patrol and the Iowa Department of Transportation.
