The Minnesota Milk Producers Association is coordinating workshops throughout Minnesota this fall to help dairy farmers understand and prepare to enroll in the new Dairy Margin Protection Program (DMPP). With the overhaul of existing federal dairy programs, DMPP replaces price supports and Milk Income Loss Contract (MILC) payments.

These interactive sessions feature Dr. Marin Bozic, University of Minnesota. Bozic will present MPP rules and case studies, allowing dairy producers to examine the profitability and stability advances this new program can offer their operation. Attendees will be guided through the official FSA decision-support tool to help producers make the best decision for their dairy.

Advance registration is requested. Information on specific sites and registration deadlines can be found here. Registration is $10 per person and includes all program materials and lunch.

To register, visit the Minnesota Milk website or call 877-577-0741.
