Ohio dairy blamed for fish kill

Nearly 7,000 fish and tadpoles were found dead in a central Ohio waterway last week, and though state officials continue to investigate the situation some are blaming a Madison County dairy farm.

According to a report by The Columbus Dispatch, Rising Sun Dairy is again at the center of media attention after the dairy’s newly installed manure system could be responsible for the fish kill after developing a blockage. However, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is still in the process of investigating. 

Rising Sun Dairy made news earlier this year after local officials lost an appeal to stop the dairy from expanding.
