The credibility of the message and the integrity of the messenger are important entities in delivering the correct information to the consumer. Just look at the Affordable Health Care law for a good example of how not to deliver a message.

Mr. Mason is absolutely correct. We have not fought back as much as we've sat around wringing our hands and whining about the "unfairness" of it all. And what little defensive action we've taken has been dry, uninspiring lectures featuring academics recounting obscure studies and statistics that are easily discounted as "paid spokespersons" for our industry. Where are our Celebrity PSAs? Why aren't we publicly heaping justifiable scorn and ridicule on our enemies transparently deceitful propaganda campaigns? Take Mason's advice, and quickly. Oh, and try watching a few episodes of South Park if you want to see effective uses of scorn & ridicule in popular culture.
