In 2003, everything changed for Leroy and Barbara Shatto; they began delivering milk to stores in the Kansas City and St. Joseph areas of Missouri the old-fashioned way. Sick of seeing neighbors go out of business, they jumped into fluid milk processing with an attitude to do little to the milk, and keep production under 200 gallons per day.
The milk comes in flavors such as cotton candy, cookies & cream, banana, and root beer. After over 10 years in business, the company was named Kansas City’s Top Company by ThisIsKC.com.
The farm is located in Osborn, Mo., just one hour from central Kansas City. The farm has about 120 cows on 400 acres according to its website.
