MONTEREY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say a semi tanker loaded with 6,000 gallons of milk went off a southwestern Michigan roadway and spilled its load into a ditch.

The Allegan County sheriff's office says 45-year-old driver Ed Seeback of Holland had just left a farm early Tuesday when the truck crashed in Monterey Township, about 25 miles southwest of Grand Rapids.

The sheriff's office says Seeback was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital with injuries that weren't considered to be life-threatening.

The cause of the crash wasn't immediately known.
