On Sept. 10 and 11, the Vermont Dairy Industry Association and Vermont Feed Dealers Association will hold their Fall Conference and Annual Meetings in a new location at The Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Conference Center, 1746 Mountain Road, Stowe, Vt.
The annual conference is a great opportunity to learn about current industry issues while networking with others from all aspects of Vermont’s dairy industry.
This year’s conference features two top notch speakers on the subject of advocating for agriculture (also known as agvocacy). Michele Payn-Knoper kicks off the afternoon with Celebrating Ag and Trent Loos presents the evening banquet keynote on Sept. 10.
Loos returns during the program on Sept. 11.
The first 60 individuals to register for the conference through VDIA receive a free copy of Payn-Knoper’s recent book, “No More Food Fights!”
The program on Sept. 10 begins at 9 A.M. The program on Sept. 11 runs from 8:30 A.M. through lunch.
The Vermont Dairy Farm of the Year and Tupper Award will be presented mid-day on Sept. 10. A formal banquet and program are planned for the evening of the Sept. 10.
The conference leads off VDIA’s annual activities, which also include hosting the Dairy Farmers’ Banquet at the Vermont Farm Show and supporting student scholarships and dairy awards. The VDIA works for the mutual benefit of its members, dairy farm families, and the dairy industry; and encourages and promotes close cooperation with educational institutions and other agencies concerned with the dairy industry.
