Some phones ring, other phones buzz and some phones… moo?
The California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) is releasing a new app for iPhones to allow families to take keep dairy in their thoughts and in their pockets. Through the app, users can adopt a virtual California cow as a pet — milking her, feeding her and even tickling her.
“It’s no secret that people are spending more and more time on their mobile devices -- and moms are no exception,” said Michael Freeman, vice president of advertising for CMAB. “The casual gaming industry has been transformed and is no longer just for tweens and teens but for moms too. In fact, moms spend an average of five hours a week playing games online.”
Users can customize their cow, changing the color of her hide and adjusting her other features (eyes, ears, etc.) and can even accessorize her.
Through a Facebook account, users can connect with their friends. Cows can carry personal messages from one phone to another and read them aloud using an animated cow voice.
The app is free in the Apple App Store.
