Representatives of the U.S. Dairy Export Council are in Vietnam this week, part of a state of Wisconsin trade mission that departed Jan. 7.

The weeklong trade mission, the first ever by Badger State trade representatives,  includes scheduled stops in Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh and Hanoi, according to the Associated Press.

Wisconsin trade officials see potential for the state's dairy and livestock industries in Vietnam, which in 2010 saw 40% of its whey imports supplied from Wisconsin, the report said.
