World Dairy Expo: Iowa cow earns top honors in Ayrshire Show

Steam-Valley Wilton Magic Bri, owned by John Cannon and Kurt Wolf of Epwoth, Iowa, captured the Grand Champion honors at the 2011 International Ayrshire Show at World Dairy Expo. Bri was the winning Five-Year-Old cow, Best Uddered in her class and the recipient of the Udder Comfort $1,000 Grand Champion Cash Award. The 2010 defending Champion, Sweet Pepper Black Francesca, exhibited by Beverly Donovan of Benton, Maine, was tapped as the Reserve Grand Champion.

Again this year, both the Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor banners were awarded to Palmyra Farms of Hagerstown, Maryland. Blackaddar Bb Kellogg continues his rein as the Premier Sire of the show.

Judges Justin Burdette from Mercersburg, Penn. and Sean Johnson from Glenville, Penn. placed a total of 236 head on the opening day of the show. Overall show results and top class placings are as follows:
