KLA member Lee Reeve of Garden City has been appointed to Gov. Elect Sam Brownback’s Energy and Environment Agency Outreach Team. The team is assigned to work with state agency leaders and staff to ensure a smooth transition between gubernatorial administrations.
According to Brownback Transition Team Chair Kenny Wilk, Reeve and others on the team will spend time learning about state agencies that oversee rules and regulations with a direct impact on the state’s economy. The group will submit a summary of their meetings and make recommendations to Brownback and Lt. Gov. Elect Jeff Colyer. Wilk said the team’s work is part of creating a fair and consistent regulatory environment, which is key to the Brownback administration’s priority of growing the state’s economy.
Reeve is a cattle feeder and ethanol producer. Others serving on the eight-member team have varied backgrounds in the energy and environment industries. Sublette rancher and ethanol producer Jay Garetson is chairing the team.
